OBUT RCX new generation

WHAT ARE THE REASONS THE OBUT RCX NEW GENERATION SHOULD NOT BE COMPARED TO THE EARLIER MODEL?

• The special stainless steel selected for the OBUT RCX new generation three-boule set has never been used by La Boule Obut before now.
• The new technology developed by our engineers to design this new model is totally innovative.
• The impact-absorbing capacity on difficult ground has never been achieved with any other stainless model.

WHY KEEP THE THE RCX NAME?

The RCX name stands for "Rebond Contrôlé inoX" (rebound control stainless steel) and is still completely appropriate for this new generation model designed using the latest metallurgical techniques.

WHO IS THE OBUT RCX NEW GENERATION BOULE SET AIMED AT?

This three-boule set is great for highly demanding players playing on "extreme" types of terrain as well as for attacking players.

HOW WILL THE OBUT RCX NEW GENERATION BOULE WEAR?

It is difficult to explain how a boule wears. It depends on the model, how often you play and on the type of ground and player.

As with all the Impact Absorber + ("Amorti +") models:
• flat marks will appear on the surface after very powerful impacts with other boules
• scratches of varying depths will appear after boules are in contact with pebbly or tarred ground

"Hammering" of the petanque boule over time will not alter its "hand grip"

HOW WILL THE IMPACT ABSORBER + EVOLVE OVER TIME?

Its "amorti +" impact-absorbing capacity will diminish after a very high number of games on pebbly or tarred surfaces.

IS THE OBUT RCX NEW GENERATION BOULE COMPARABLE TO THE OBUT RCC BOULE?

Impact absorption tests have shown that the impact-absorbing performances of an RCX new generation boule and an OBUT RCC boule are similar.
However, the hand grip of the two models is completely different due to the grades of steel used (stainless steel and carbon steel).
The OBUT RCX new generation will be better suited to those who are looking for a good "release" from the hand.
The RCC carbon steel ends itself to tighter hand grip.
