  • Share a group lesson with other pétanque players who want to improve their shooting skills, with personalised advice from our Obut coach Philippe Duchein.
  • Benefit from all his experience, advice and anecdotes.
  • Learn all the shooting techniques.
  • Enjoy a unique experience where the key words are progress, challenge and conviviality between those passionate about the little boule.

Who is this petanque course for?

Day 1

  • 9.00 Welcome and breakfast.
  • 9:30 Composition of work groups of 9 people with objectives to be achieved.
  • 9:45 Warm-up, posture, movement analysis, fluidity, concentration, mental preparation.
  • Practice with progression games, aiming for greater precision with debriefing.
  • 11.30am Explanation of how the Obut Adventure is made.
  • 12:30 Lunch at the Carré Pétanque Obut restaurant.
  • 14:00 Team progression games (real-life situation).
  • Confrontation between coach and trainees, record attempt on the 9-ball mat.
  • 16:15 Practice with a mini-tournament.
  • 17:30 End of the course (various questions about the day, photos, autographs and presentation of souvenirs).

The champions' list

  • Instructor Philippe Duchein: educator, founder of the OBUT training camps and creator of the initiation–improvement–competition workshops. Holder of an activity leader certificate, he has trained over 1,500 people. Multiple titles: all-category departmental champion, triple Midi-Pyrénées champion, winner of over 50 national tournaments, 24-time qualifier for the French Championships, La Marseillaise quarter-finalist, 2023 Mixed Triples Champion, 2023 La Marseillaise semi-finalist, Occitanie Mixed Triples Champion 2024–2025, and Haute-Garonne Doubles Champion 2025. 2025 French Mixed Triples Champion.
