Amaurie, at the heart of Obut boules’ grooving and marking
In Saint-Bonnet-le-Château, in the Loire region, the Obut workshops bring together 7 key crafts essential to the manufacturing of competition pétanque boules.
Among these, the grooving and marking of special boules play a central role. Amaurie, production operator, works on these stages where precision and consistency are essential to guarantee product quality.
A journey naturally connected to Obut
Originally from Saint-Bonnet-le-Château, Amaurie has always known the Obut world. Coming from a pétanque-loving family, her grandfather and father both play, she grew up in an environment where the sport holds an important place.
From an early age, she developed her own connection to pétanque by taking part in competitions, strengthening her bond with this world.
It was therefore only natural for Amaurie to join the company in September 2024, already having a deep understanding of the brand and its values.
Precision craftsmanship in the manufacturing of pétanque boules
Every day, Amaurie brings her technical expertise and rigor to create the grooves and markings of special triplette sets, with constant high standards.
Her motivation: precision, in the service of Obut quality.
Marking and grooving of Obut special boules
Marking contributes to the identity of Sport Competition pétanque boules. On each boule in a triplette are engraved the manufacturer’s brand, the competition approval label, the boule’s weight, and the serial number, a unique identification and manufacturing reference for each triplette, ensuring full traceability.
Grooves, beyond their aesthetic appeal and improved recognition on the terrain, have a significant impact on play. Pointers prefer grooved boules for better grip on difficult terrains and greater ease in applying spin.
At each of these two stages for Obut special boules, Amaurie’s role is essential. Through the quality and precision of her work, she helps deliver high-performance pétanque boules tailored to players’ expectations.
A demand for precision for exceptional models
For exceptional models such as ATX or CX COU triplettes, Amaurie’s work requires consistency, mastery, and focus. Each marking is carried out with care, with the same high standards boule after boule.
A profession driven by strong values
Amaurie is deeply committed to her profession, but also to everything that makes Obut what it is. Working in a local company, in Saint-Bonnet-le-Château, her hometown, has a special meaning for her. Between the team spirit, the passion for pétanque and the pride of contributing to French manufacturing, she finds real purpose in her daily work.
