Every summer, thousands of players and pétanque enthusiasts from across France and around the world gather at Parc Borély to take part in the Mondial La Marseillaise à Pétanque.

From Friday 3 July to Wednesday 8 July 2026, the 65th edition once again promises an exceptional spectacle, bringing together top-level competition, a friendly atmosphere and a shared passion for the game.

La Marseillaise à Pétanque: a global benchmark

Created in 1962, the Mondial La Marseillaise à Pétanque is widely regarded as the world's biggest international pétanque tournament.

Its strength? A competition open to everyone, whether licensed or not, with no age limit. Passionate amateurs and world champions share the same courts and enjoy the same sporting adventure.

Every year, thousands of teams of three compete along the paths of Parc Borély and on courts across the city of Marseille.
