In 2026, the Masters de Pétanque enter a new dimension
The Masters de Pétanque return once again this year for an edition that promises to be more competitive than ever, driven by the new organiser, GDP Vendôme. Taking over the reins, the organisation is committed to preserving everything that made previous editions successful while bringing fresh momentum rooted in strong human values and local engagement.
Obut would like to thank Quarterback for all these years of collaboration, shared passion and sporting excellence, and is delighted to support this new chapter, which will help pétanque reach new heights.
The greatest champions are ready for the challenge
The defending champions Christophe Sarrio, Yohan Cousin, Mickaël Bonetto and Ludovic Montoro — will put their title on the line, determined to retain their crown.
Historic competition ahead
The defending champions will face an exceptional line-up, featuring the return of the Dream Team, the formidable Team Rocher, Team Ziegler, Les Étoiles du Sud, Team Doerr and Team Germany.
A first stage driven by female talent
For the opening stage, four all-French teams will compete for a place in history.
Exciting new pairings packed with talent, including French Singles Champion Sandrine Poinsot, who will team up with National de Rumilly winner Aurélie Bories, and multiple French Champion Florence Schopp, one of the favourites, alongside her partner Emma Picard.
Local player Linda Bakhouche, teamed with Romy Ibao, will be determined to put on a great show against the explosive duo of Ludivine D’Isodoro and Julie Cardon.
It is a true recognition of women’s pétanque and clear proof that their talent is every bit as impressive as that of their male counterparts.
Obut will once again be a partner of the event, with its mobile stores present throughout the competition. A great opportunity to meet the Team Obut players, who promise to deliver a spectacular show for pétanque enthusiasts.
