At Obut, health and safety are part of everyday life
In an industry like ours, health and safety at work are not secondary matters: they are fully part of our performance and our responsibility.
Every day, our teams work in demanding technical environments where precision, prevention and compliance with safety rules are essential. Our priority is clear: to ensure safe, suitable and sustainable working conditions for everyone.
Behind every boule we manufacture are skilled men and women who handle, inspect and fine-tune each product. Taking care of them is both a direct responsibility and a natural commitment: a safe working environment is essential to performing well over time.
This commitment is built day after day through concrete improvements and deliberate choices, always grounded in the realities of the field.
Concrete actions for health and safety at work
Guided by the recommendations of Sud Loire Santé au Travail (SLST), we are already taking action on several everyday topics such as noise reduction, ergonomics, sedentary lifestyles and nutrition.
To support teams every day, Obut provides personal protective equipment tailored to each situation. Gloves, earplugs, helmets and safety glasses offer effective protection while ensuring comfort and precision in every movement.
Some solutions are also fully personalised, such as custom-moulded earplugs or prescription safety glasses adapted to each user’s vision. Particular attention is paid to both comfort and protection efficiency.
Their replacement is made easy and left to each employee’s discretion, allowing every workstation’s specific needs to be met.
Workstations designed for everyone’s wellbeing
In production, this means implementing suitable equipment such as anti-fatigue mats and height-adjustable tools. These solutions help reduce physical strain and improve everyday comfort.
Ergonomics also applies to office workstations. Screen-based work can cause discomfort when setups are not properly adapted. Small-group awareness sessions have been introduced to share best practices: sit-stand desks, chair adjustment, screen positioning, posture and more.
Anti-fatigue mats
To improve comfort at standing workstations, anti-fatigue mats have been introduced. They help reduce fatigue and tension caused by prolonged standing, while promoting better posture every day.
Height-adjustable equipment
Adapting workstations also means providing height-adjustable equipment. These solutions allow each user to adjust the working surface according to their height and needs, helping to reduce physical strain and make everyday tasks easier.
Sit-stand desks
In office spaces, sit-stand desks have also been introduced. They allow employees to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day, helping to reduce sedentary behaviour and encourage a more dynamic posture.
Everyday nutrition
Caring for health also means paying attention to nutrition. Every morning, fresh and dried fruit are made available to teams to encourage balanced habits.
As part of the four-day workweek, which involves longer working days, this initiative allows everyone to enjoy a healthy break and avoid snacking between meals.
A simple initiative that contributes to everyone’s wellbeing every day.
A testimonial about our everyday approach

An ongoing commitment
“Tomorrow, just as today, we will continue taking action — particularly regarding chemical risks — to ensure everyone’s health and safety.”
