Maintenance
Finish
- When first purchased, the ATX 3-Star Striated 6 competition petanque boule has a gold satin finish.
- This finish naturally corresponds to the last operation in the manufacturing process.
- This is a non-permanent coating and it is normal for it to wear off over the course of the first few games played.
Care of your boules
- Depending on how intensively it is used, the kind of terrain, ambient humidity, etc., the ATX 3-Star Striated 6 may require a little care and attention after each game and at least once a month if it is not used.
- We recommend using the Obut boule care product.
A tip from Obut
Don't leave your ATX 3-Star Striated 6 boules in your car boot, as they may be exposed to sudden changes in temperature, leading to condensation.
Don't keep boules in pouches with a foam compartment. Foam stays permanently slightly damp and that will accentuate the oxidation of the boules.
Such significantly damp conditions will be harmful to your boules in the long run, as they can cause oxidation.
Remember to take your boules out of the boot of your car or their pouch if it has a foam compartment and store them in a dry place.
