Born in Tunis, Mouna Beji discovered the sport at the age of 9, introduced to it by her father. Just a few steps from her home, the Tunisian Pétanque Federation’s boulodrome quickly became her playground. She spent hours there training, repeating her movements and refining her accuracy.
Very early on, the game became a natural part of her daily life.
A passion for pétanque from the very first throws
Mouna Beji took her first steps at La Boule d'Or club in Tunis, the club closest to her heart, where she played for 15 years. It was there that she built the foundations of her pétanque practice and developed the discipline that still guides her every day.
She then continued her journey with the Gazelec Sport club in Tunis, where she kept refining her game and strengthening her place within Tunisian pétanque.
Reaching this level requires total commitment. Mouna Beji devoted much of her holidays to training, tirelessly repeating the same movements to gain greater precision and consistency.
A journey shaped by major competitions

An achievement that places her among the most decorated athletes in the history of the competition, alongside major Tunisian sports figures such as Olympic swimming champion Oussama Mellouli.
Individual World Champion, a victory apart
In 2023, Mouna Beji reached a new milestone by becoming Individual World Champion in Benin, a title that holds a special place in her journey. Alone on the court, she relied on years of hard work, precision and composure to reach the top. An intense and emotional victory that marked a defining moment in her career.
Rising through the ranks on French pétanque courts
By joining the Lyon Canuts pétanque club, Mouna Beji reached a new milestone. It was with this team that she secured her first major victories in France, notably in the French Championship and the French Club Cup.
In 2025, she competed for Vaulx-en-Velin, where she won the French Triples Championship title alongside Nadège Baussian and Ludivine d’Isidoro.

A connection built game after game
During a regional triples championship, Mouna Beji and Ludivine d’Isidoro found themselves playing together at the Vaulx-en-Velin boulodrome.
An exchange that still makes them smile: Ludivine d’Isidoro, although originally from Lyon, did not know there was a boulodrome in Vaulx-en-Velin… while Mouna Beji, who came from Tunisia, already knew about it.
